Around 9:30 PM, Quadra was informed that the northwest Alberta natural gas plant was facing a desperate shortage for inert materials to support their molecular sieve (MS) beds. By 11:00 PM, an email from the plant’s operator detailed their material requirement; 72 bags of inert materials in various sizes, requesting immediate shipment.
Saving Hours of Operational Downtime – The Material Shipment Arrives the Next Morning
Within hours of opening, Quadra coordinated, assembled and shipped the order, saving hours of extended operational downtime. The operator expressed his gratitude for Quadra’s rapid logistical response. Despite not having the existing business with this customer for this material, the emergency event opened an opportunity demonstrate our values, as well as the benefit of partnering with Quadra for other materials, like MS sylobeads.
