Record-breaking snowfall. A deep freeze plunging to –27°C. Rail lines buried under drifts. Most people would take one look at conditions like these and head indoors. But at our Clairmont, AB facility, this is where our operations team proves exactly what they’re made of.
While winter has been throwing everything it has at northern Alberta, our team has been out there, day and night, keeping methanol moving safely and reliably by rail.
Despite the cold snap and the heaviest snowfall we’ve seen in years, our Clairmont facility remains fully operational. Product is moving. Railcars are being offloaded into our tanks. Logistics are flowing. And our contract customers continue to receive the methanol they depend on.
What makes this possible isn’t equipment or infrastructure, it’s people. It’s the dedication of a team that refuses to let weather dictate our ability to deliver. Their resilience is the backbone of our operations, and their commitment ensures we meet our promises even in the harshest conditions.
Thank you to one of our Account Managers Jeff as well as our Grande Prairie operation staff for your hard work and one team efforts they have been instrumental in keeping our rail operations moving.
