Quadra Partners with SCDC and WLFN for Community Participation

On December 6, 2024, Quadra proudly signed a Shared Benefits Agreement with the Sugar Cane Development Corp. (SCDC) at their office in Williams Lake, BC. This agreement solidifies Quadra’s commitment to supporting SCDC and the Williams Lake First Nation (WLFN) through business collaboration and an annual contribution towards the Community Participation Program. These funds will enhance cultural, environmental, and educational programs in WLFN’s traditional territory.

The T’exelcemc, or Williams Lake First Nation (WLFN), is a proud member of the Secwepemc Nation located in the central interior of British Columbia. Overcoming a history of challenges, including population losses during the 1862-63 smallpox epidemic, WLFN has grown into a thriving community with 857 members as of April 2021. WLFN is a leader in economic development through enterprises such as UNITY Cannabis, Sugar Cane Cannabis, and Coyote Rock Real Estate Development, among others. Alongside these efforts, the Nation emphasizes health, education, cultural revitalization, and governance as part of its transition away from the Indian Act, all while providing comprehensive services to its members.

Quadra is thrilled to partner with SCDC and WLFN on initiatives that honor this rich heritage and contribute to the Nation’s ongoing prosperity. Together, we’re building stronger connections and opportunities for all!
